"Jugendliche kochen für Senioren" ging in die nächste Runde

Mittlerweile ist es fast schon zur Tradition geworden, dass MOVE 2-3 mal im Jahr gemeinsam mit Jugendlichen für Senioren kocht. So war es auch wieder am 2. Advent. Dieses Mal gab es eine Besonderheit: Eine Kooperation mit der Sekundarschule in Berkum.

So trafen sich am Samstag vor dem 2. Advent die Jugendlichen zum Vorkochen in der Lehrküche in Berkum und bereiteten ein leckeres 3-Gänge Menü vor. Dieses Mal gab es zur Vorspeise Feldsalat mit Orangenfilets, als Hauptspeise wurde Rinderbraten mit Kartoffel-Möhren-Püree und Rotweinsoße serviert und zum Nachtisch wurde Scholadenkuchen mit Früchten gereicht.

Dies galt es am Samstag vorzubereiten. Für 30 Leute wurde Rinderbraten gewürzt und angebraten, zwei leckere Schokokuchen gebacken und die Mensa der Schule vorbereitet.

Am Sonntagmorgen wurden dann die letzten Vorbereitungen getroffen, bevor um 12.30 Uhr die Senioren zum Essen kamen. Alle Senioren ließen sich das Menü schmecken und freuen sich schon auf das nächste Mal, das wohl um Ostern stattfinden wird.

Ein herzlicher Dank geht an die Sekundarschule Wachtberg, die uns netterweise ihre Räumlichkeiten zur Verfügung gestellt hat und Christine Söllner, zuständig für die Lehrküche der Sekundarschule, die mit Rat und Tat unterstützte.

Und auch ohne Köchinnen und Köche geht es nicht, daher auch ein großes Dankeschön an alle Helferinnen und Helfer!
